Default Have your losses slowed?

Hi All,
I'm on week 15 and the losses have really slowed, to the point i'm not even losing 1kg a week, and this week (weigh in tomorrow) as of this morning, i've not lost anything at all

I was really hoping and thinking i'd lose at least 1-1.5kg a week on plan, and i know some weeks you have a low result ... i'm just hoping that i'm just in a plateau and that soon my losses will return!

I've even drunk nearly a litre more water every day this week, but has made no difference I have been sick on cold & flu tablets last week, and have had a headache for 3 weeks so have been having a few nurofen, and in honesty i did have a bite of a mini cupcake this week and a mouthful of risoni pasta as we had visitors over sat night and i needed to make sure it tasted ok & was cooked... But it was not much at all, and I really don't think it would have affected my week... let alone the last couple of weeks results have not been great...sigh....

Would love to hear if you had a lull and if you got your groove back?

Come back HGH Miners!!!!

Thanks all, MM xx

I think it is natural for your losses to slow as you near the your goal weight - but I have also heard that nurofen (this is what I have read here on this forum, may not be true), can wreak havoc with losses, as do unapproved cold and flu medications - but you need to preserve your health first. I took panadol, and betadine throat gargle, and made hot water and lemon drinks as my only cold/sickness treatments while on plan.

You might have stalled this week due to consumption of this, but you need to get well too.

Hope that makes sense!

Ohhhh well that will explain it then, as i've had nurofen nearly every day for the last 2-3 weeks - although haven't had anything the last two days, hoorahhh!!!! I love the betadine throat gargle, i've also been using Difflam anti-inflammatory spray as well.
I really hope thats the reason, as i'm only 22kg down, still a long way to go, i really hope it speeds up a bit. Might even start doing some walking soon if that might help.

I'm def feeling better, and i'm praying that the losses improve and that i was just not well and therefore lost less... so lets celebrate feeling better with a big loss!!! lol

Anyone else have any similar experiences?

Default Re: Have your losses slowed?

There is only one nurofen that is naughty on plan. Nurofen Plus contains codeine, which can provoke hunger. The others are all okay!!!

Cold and flu meds can be no-nos... they can have lactose and sugar in them and codiene. Have a look, just for peace of mind. And no matter how small a deviation it CAN have an effect on your losses.

It will all be fine once you are well... Also, even though I didn't deviate while I was sick (aside from cheese more than 3 times a week), and my losses have slowed too. Being sick is pretty hard on your body. It'll all come right soon!

Thanks babe, totally makes sense I checked the nurofen packet and there was no codeine in it, but there is in cold and flu
That's ok, I'm better now, health comes first! I just hope the losses pick up I have faith in the program I know it works... Just gotta let my body repair and then once it's finished working on that, the hgh miners can go back to burning fat!
