Smile !last time! lifestyle change!

Hi all

I going to start a dairy here, because im using an old program. I did cohen in 2013 and lost 15kg. Up and till now ive pick up 26. I cant go on like this. The past year I was struggling to lose weight, I didn't take cohen seriously.
I went on holiday now and decided I need to do something now!! It cant go on like this. Even my husband said I need to stick to it now. Ive got 2 weddings ahead and going on holiday with my parents in December. But im not going to deviate. Im going to do it right from now on. For the rest of my life because ive learned the hard way that it must be a lifestyle!!

Ive started yesterday.
Hope the here from all of you. Im going to need your support.

Hi Skinnytobe,
I've just been contemplating doing the same thing, and it's my wedding I'm hoping to get ready for, but just wondering as you say you are using the old program, did you get an update on the allowed food list?
My clinic has closed down so not sure where to get an updated list (not the amounts of course, but just the actual foods) did you ask for an updated one, or are you going off an old one?

Hi Skinnytobe & Doing it for ME,

If you want to list the foods allowed on your old list I can let you know if there are any new ones... I got my plan in September 2014 if that helps

Well done both of you for making the decision to get back on plan.

Be selfish and put yourself first for the first few weeks to get into the zone - and call on all the support you need - esp your family as not only do you benefit, but family does too as life is so much more sweeter when you feel good about yourself.

This is a decision that you won't regret. Stay strong and keep your eyes fully focus on the end goal. Deviations (which are not allowed) are not worth it, esp the first one!!!!

I look forward to following your journeys

Hi Skinnytobe!

It sounds like things haven't changed all that much from your old plan. I am not sure where you are from as some of the things you listed are not familiar to me.... I am in Australia so I don't have rovitas crackerbread or naartji or patty pan on my list but they are probably just called something different here! The protein list is the same meats, cheese, yogurt & egg...

I don't have my list on me today (am sneaking a look on here at work today) so will give you my allowed foods this evening

The yogurt we are allowed is PLAIN yogurt, not vanilla or flavoured - only natural or plain

I am into maintenance stage now (only 1 week in) so am still weighing my foods and eating on plan at this stage... I am terrified of putting weight on again!

I am looking forward to following you on your journey!!

Allie

Hi Stb. Im from SA and that list looks right to me. I have looked at all the yoghurts and its amazing the difference between them. Some have so much sugar in a plain fat free tub. The only one to bother with is Gero fat free. I think the woolies one has the most sugar in it. You are doing great keep moving forward you can do this. Holidays suck for EP's!

Week 2 Day 1. Survived week 1. Ive lost 3.9kg and 49cm. That's both arms and legs included. So my old program is definitely working. So excited. It motivating for the next week. However, ive got a wedding coming up Saturday. Is a whole weekend thing. Im a little stressed about it. But I thought about it. Fryday morning and lunch is not a problem. At dinner everyone is going to party so they wouldn't even notice what I eat and if I eat. Saturday morning a bit of a problem don't know if all the family and friends are going to have brunch together. But maybe I must say I already ate. Lunch not a problem. Then I don't know if I must eat a peace of meat and salad at the wedding or must I go to the car to quickly eat something like meatballs? Sunday not a problem. I think it will work out. This is my biggest issue with cohen. I don't know what to say to people, I don't want all that questions and comments. I feel ashamed cus I have to do it again and I know what people is thinking:"Ah she on a diet again". I just want to do it right this time, and people doesn't make it easy.

Hello Skinnytobe!
Great stuff! You are doing so well! Just keep it up girl.
I often have to guess the portions and would have a piece of chicken or meat with a bit of salad.
Having tea or coffee and the allowable sugar free drinks also helps to keep one full. If you're still hungry, eat an apple!

Let us know how the weekend goes okay

Take care

Hi all.

So the wedding weekend went well. I packed all my food for the whole weekend. It was abit tricky on the wedding night because everyone ate together. But i just said i will eat later. One guy asked me whats going on, but he is a psychologist. Hehe. So i told him im on cohen. I told my inlaws that i dont want to deviate so they dont have to worry about me. And they supported me all the way. So happy for that.
Ive lost 0.9kg and 14cm last week. Im very glad about that cm's.
Hope all of you are going strong.
