Non-food Rewards for Milestones/Goals
I have always used food as a reward for good behaviour or achieving a milestone - get a promotion = go out for dinner, lose a kilo = have some chocolate - and I want to break this cycle on Cohen's. Does anyone else use food as a reward? If yes, what do you do for yourself to celebrate your milestones and goals that doesn't involve food?

Those are great ideas, thanks Ris!. I've been looking at Pandora stacked rings and thinking I might get a ring for every 10kgs lost and finishing refeed.
I also like the idea of an infinity tattoo if I can maintain my within 5kgs for 24 months (I've read it can take this long for you body to stabilise your new weight set point)...these milestones are many months away of course 😉

Re: Non-food Rewards for Milestones/Goals
Great ideas Riss! I also love the idea of the Pandora stacked rings and I have actually read somewhere (maybe this forum or could be the one on Cohen's website) someone doing that exact thing instead of having rings resized she stacked them!
Other things like mani, pedi, haircut anything where you are pampering yourself is good I think! I think I will consider getting a tattoo at some stage too but I have to get this maintenance thing right first (gotta get rid of some re-gained kgs first) Allie |

Re: Non-food Rewards for Milestones/Goals
The birthdays, Valentine's stuff, special occasions are also hard without food.
We've been doing fun activities: zip line, horse riding, archery, maze puzzles etc. For rewards, haven't done much but clothes I think are awesome, thinking of a new tattoo as well 2 years into maintenance. Not big on jewelry, but I can see that's cool. |

Getting out and about is a great idea - reinforces some of the reasons for doing the program - to have a life! I love walking/hiking so some new trails would be great motivation/reward.
