Default Advice Needed!! (Weigh gain, hairfall, menstrual cycle)

Hi all! I've completed my program at 48.4kg, 1 and a half months back. I've then gained 3kgs. Right on maintenance, I started exercising regularly, about 2-4 times a week. Consists of yoga, cardio, weights. I'm mostly eating Cohen's food but no longer weighing it. I emailed my clinic and was advised to go back on the Eating Plan for 2 - 3 days.

My entire program lasted for 3 months and after 1 month my menstruation stopped. I've missed 3 cycles now, very easily bloated with flatulence, and hair is falling. Seems like something is wrong with my body... Should i do a few days of the Eating Plan or see a doctor or what else can I do? I would want to go back to my goal weight..

Hi, I’m sorry to hear you’ve had a hard time since finishing the program. I’d go see a doctor. If your GP doesn’t know where to start, perhaps start with a blood test that checks a broad range of bodily functions to see what’s going on. Very generally speaking, menstration stops when you’re body is under a lot of stress (extreme / professional level exercise, anorexia, obesity, etc), so for me, that’s a symptom that I would get checked out. Hi there sorry to hear of challenges in maintenance but based on my experience and what I've read on the forum this is not unusual.

You've lost an extraordinary amount in a brief period of time and your body is off balance. I really think the refeed needs to be longer though by then I'm half convinced I don't need it!

Did you find any foods disagreed w you during refeed? It can be very useful to log what you eat. I use My Fitness Pal and plan to continue into early maintenance as a useful reference.

Your body also reinstated its glycogen stores and if your salt has increased water retention is very likely.
