Default Ez's recipes and hints

Ok I thought I would pop on here some of my recipes and hints.
First of all I wanted to say that taking an Omega 3-fish oil capsule daily helps me and I was told to take it with my evening meal so that it works while your sleeping and the HGH is at work.

Here's what I made for tea last night;
Bashed & Crumbed Chicken Palmy...minus the cheese
I bash my chicken allowance down with a rolling pin, so that it's all the one thickness and then use saladas to crumb it.
The tomatoe topping I make in a 200 g lot;
1 Tomatoe
Garlic clove
Onion
All of those add up to 200grams and you can also have capsicum in it if you like.
I oven roast them for about 40minutes on not too high heat.
You can skin the tomatoe if you wish.
Then I vitamise all together and use it in 4 portions so that your getting 1/4 of a tomatoe and all up 50 grams of vegies. Oh and I add salt, pepper, cajun spice(not additives) and corriander.
So cook the remaining grams of your vegies and when you cook the chicken in a pan, turn it over and add the tomatoe sauce on top sop that it's warm when you eat it.
Serve it up when the chicken is cooked.
I refridgerate the tomatoe sauce as it's 4 serves.
Here's a pic;

Stuffed Mushrooms
Make up to the grams of your vegie allowance;
1-2 mushroom cups, stem removed...depending on size.
Capsicum
Onion
Tomatoe
Chop all but the mushroom. Add mozerella from your allowanceand stuff into the cups of teh mushrooms.
Bake until golden brown on top.

Sorry I ate them before I got a pic.

I found that making a salsa thingy and having it on crackers with mozerella wasn't all that yummy for me so I have tomatoe slices instead, a little onion and then the mozerella. Grill under the griller on a plate, but don't be silly like moi and forget to use an oven mitt to remove it...
I then have capsicum slicces to make up my vegie allowance.

Curried Egg & Salad on crackers
This is an easy one.
On 4 salada squares add lettuce, tomatoe & onion (allowance)
Boil your egg and smash it up with your mayo allowance and curry, salt & Pepper.
Add the curried egg to the crackers....
Yummy

Ok it looks like these fresh mango's won't last much longer, so I have been cutting the cheeks off and freezing them.
Then you can use them later or even take them out and make a mango frappe.

I have worked that if I bash the crappers out of my chicken...well maybe just tenderise it, it is not as dry and tastes better.

Crumbed Whiting & King Prawns
This was tea tonight and it was delicous.
1/2 seafood allowance of whiting
1/2 seafood allowance of prawns. I have learnt that banana prawns aren't that nice compared to King or Tiger.
2 salada from allowance crushed with salt, pepper, garlic & Sumac.
Crumb your fish and prawns and cook. Make a salad from your allowance.
I had lemon on my seafood and a little mayo on the salad.
This was just like eating out and is quick to prepare.

Today I bought a bag of granny smith apples and stewed them up with some sweetener & cinnamon. I used 8 apples, so I sectioned it into 8 and have put it into zip lock bags in the freezer to pull out to have with yoghurt or even just as snack.
Also I'm going to trial making up my mango smoothies and freezing them. Looks like mangos are becoming hard to get. I have frozen some for later but will be really miffed when I run out.

Erica that Whiting & Prawn dish sounds good. I buy flake and frozen green prawns from the wholesale fish shop (so its always fresh) and freeze them.

I think I might do the same with my apples rather than stew them the night before. I sometimes think I spend all my time in the kitchen these day. Not much housework is getting done.

Same here Tuti, my house isn't exactly a pig sty but it could be a little tidier and cleaner.
Fortunetly my hubby is great with housework so I'll have to crack the whip....LOL.

Will do Rhondles. i find the crumbs on fish and chicken make it seem like 'normal' food.
I had a salada topped with mozerella, tomatoe, capsicum & onion for lunch and by the time I had a few mouth fulls i thought...I should have taken a pic.

Everyone has probably made this one but I really think it makes you feel like your having a hamburger

Burger on a plate
Meat allowance in beef minced up
onion, dried corriander, slat, pepper and cajun creole rub (it has no additives)
Lettuce, tomatoe and mushroom if you like it.
Mayo allowance drizzled over salad.
All vegies weighed to allowance.
Cook the burgers as small flat circles and place on top of your lettuce, tomatoe and mushroom and ENJOY

Here's something that might interest those of us that don't like fibre. I put a heaped teaspoon of psyllium in with my crushed cracker when I am crumbing my chicken and fish.
