Smile Missed meals and a meal glitch

Hi, I have been on the Cohens programme for 3 weeks now. I am enjoying the regime and it has forced me to be more organised. I am determined to be successful as we all are and I am focused on being healthy and well for my wedding in March next year.

What I would really like to know is, is there an average weight loss per week and also, what are the effects when in circumstances beyond your control you miss a meal.

I would really like others advice on this.

Rarity

Hi Rarity. I dont think too many of us miss meals as we so look forward to them! Its not good to miss meals as this can ultimately slow down your metabolism and make dieting more difficult. Some cohenites like to keep a tin of tuna and some crackers on them at all times just in case they get caught out. Personally Im starving by the time my meal is due so Im not that likely to miss it. Good luck and Im glad your enjoying the program

Hi Louise

Thanks for that insight. Once again its all about organisation. I now know the affect missing meals has on me. And yes, I too am hanging out for my next meal, however, when things get really busy here I have found myself unable to break for my long awaited meal.

Thanks again
Rariy

I would have something on hand that ya could eat as you work like cheese and tomato and crackers in little bags that way you don't miss a meal and feel hungry

Can you swap your meals around and have yoghurt for lunch - even as a pre-prepared smoothie so you can drink it? Skipping meals is a serious deviation that will prevent the program working properly for you ....

One thing to remember, rarity (and this is written in my program), your body cannot burn fat without protein!

So, don't ever skip a meal!

I agree with Louise- a can of Tuna (in springwater of course!) and some crackers permanently in your bag can be a lifesaver. Another thing though- sure life gets hectic for all of us, but, you will learn through this process, that you need to be a little more selfish for time/ quality food for yourself to be successful, so maybe those important things will just have to wait until after you have had lunch!

Pleasure!

Also, I did a search for average losses through the threads and found this pearl that might give you something to strive for:

the Average weight lost in 4 weeks is 8 - 9 Kgs
the Average weight lost in 8 weeks is 14 - 15 Kgs
the Average weight lost in 12 weeks is 20 - 21 Kgs

However, it also says that the 12 weeks figures may not be truly accurate, as not many people replied to that poll. Still gives food for thought though!
