Default Struggling

Cohen's is a great program. Two years ago I lost 30 kg and got 1kg below my lower end goal weight. Kept it off for 15 months or so and slowing it had crept up to over 6 kg over my upper end goal weight. I have tried to redo the program severeal times and I just can't seem to stick to it for more than 5 or 6 days. I lose 3 or 4 kg in that times and then I put it all on again within a day or two. My weight is esculating and I am stressing over what to do. I was told when I did the program that if you put on more than 3 or 4 kg, then the program will no longer work for you because your hormones have changed. Is this correct and the reason for me not being able to stay on the program now?

When I have recently used the online Cohens calculator, it now asks for date of birth. Why is this? Now my new goal range is 3 kg higher than it was when I started the program in May 2009 more than 2 years ago. Does this mean that I can carry more weight now that I'm older?

I watched (last year?) as that change was made. It had many younger ladies, who were already on their journeys, upset that they now had to lose MORE than before. And yes, suddenly, older ladies didn't need to lose quite so much as previously.

Why?? Hmm, well, I am not Doc Cohen - but I figure he has learned even more, and is resetting the "ground rules". So, on that basis, maybe you are closer to goal than you thought you were....

And me? I'm a tall skinny-ish bloke (BMI ~25.5) and have been this way forever, so I haven't faced (weight-wise) what you all have !!

Thanks for that. According to the new calculator, my new goal range is 64-67kg. I currently weigh 70kg but I feel sooo much heavier because I can feel and see much more fat on me than when I weighed 61 kg about a year ago. I must and will give the program another go before our oversees holiday in 3 weeks time when we will be away for 4 weeks. Scales will not be readily available!! A weigh in when I get back will be scary. "Never ever give up" they say.
